LIVING

Anika has officially entered pre-production on her debut short film, LIVING. Based on a true story, LIVING follows two sisters from Taiwan who becomes estranged after one of them immigrates to America in the summer of 1993. After seventeen years, they reunite in Upstate New York and are forced to confront the differing worlds that now exist between them. The story follows themes of immigration, sisterhood, and motherhood.

The script for LIVING placed as a Semi-Finalist in the Manhattan Short Screenwriting Competition and was given an Honorable Mention in Big Apple Film Festivals Screenwriting Competition

The film is set to be directed by award winning director, Carley Lovito, and will be produced by Matthew Nolan, Broken Flames Productions, and CITYISLAND Productions.

Strasberg Practicum Showcase

Anika performed a portion of Edward Allen Baker’s one-act play Dolores where she played the title character, “Dolores".

This performance was apart of a showcase that she and her fellow classmates in Strasberg’s Practicum Program decided to organize.

The showcase took place in Strasberg’s Marilyn Monroe Theater on May 7th, 2024.

Stage Combat Certification

After months of training in stage combat, Anika recently passed her Unarmed Skills Proficiency Test With Recommendation.

The test was administered by Fight Master J. David Brimmer.

Anika was trained by intimacy coordination originator and stage combat legend Alicia Rodis.

In December 2023, Anika made her off-broadway debut in Fragments with RJ Theater Company as ‘Layla'

2023 Clifford Odets Ensemble

Anika was cast in the 2023 Cifford Odets Ensemble at The Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute.

Through this program, she starred as the role ‘Windy’ in the world premiere of Aniello Fontano’s new play
